Situation afterwords the glaciers burst in the Booni Zoom mountan

Dear All

Hello’
Since the day when the glaciers broke first time in 28 July 2010’ most people in the Booni village have lost the test of life. Many families have been deprived from each and every thing. There is no water for drinking and irrigation for the whole Booni village. We have lost the crops due to the non availability of irrigation water’ and the apple fruits got damaged and no buyer came up to chitral as the roads are broken as well. women children and aged people in Booni are taken to the tents to sleep in the nights’ due to the unexpected situation of flood .The schools are closed due to the thread of flood.Booni village is in complete risk. There is shortage of cooking oils and ghee. The prices have increased at least up to hundred percent. People in the Booni village are depressed and seem uneasy to face the difficulties awaiting.
The threads of flash flood and the circumstances have effected the schooling of the children.Stars’land Grammar School has been providing quality education to the economically lower class of the community. Now only this class of the community has been suffered. As we do not expect any sort of help from any source in the country, therefore we expect once again the international community to help us directly to come out from this circle. Stars’ land school has send carpets to uk to be solved and you can help the students in the Stars’land school to buy them. Apart of that you make contribution and send us through the charity Jam established in Scotland. Our website is www.jam.org.pk

Thanks
Muzafar Hussain
